Inova is a partner in a number of European and International projects and uses knowledge gained from working with partners abroad to bring best practice into the UK as well as sharing UK experiences with our European partners. Women@Business

Inova is the UK partner in this DG Enterprise and Industry project, led by Intercollege in Cyprus. The project includes six partners from Cyprus, Greece, Estonia, Italy and the UK. Women@Business aims to support and promote entrepreneurship amongst female undergraduates and recent graduates through a number of interventions including Mentoring Circles, Training the Trainers and Placements for females with female-owned SMEs across Europe.

EU-Return: Innovative Training and Career Development Support for Women Returners across Europe

Inova is the Co-ordinator for this Transfer of Innovation project, funded through the Leonardo da Vinci's Lifelong Learning Programme from the European Commission (2008-2010). The project aims to transfer the methodology developed by Inova - using Career Circles to assist women returners looking to return to the workplace. The methodology will be transferred to the partners in Denmark, Portugal and Romania and to different sectors and groups such as the long term unemployed. In addition, an e-learning module will be developed to increase career-related self-efficacy for women returning to work.visit website

Meta Analysis of Gender and Science, Engineering and Technology Research

Inova is a partner in this European Commission Seventh Framework funded project involving partners from over 30 European countries. The project runs from 2008-2010 and aims to:

  • Provide an exhaustive overview and analysis of all research carried out on gender and science at European, national, and regional levels.
  • Make the study results accessible to researchers and policy-makers via publishable reports and an informed bibliography available in a database.
  • Steer policy-making on gender and science in the years to come and define future research priorities within the Seventh Framework Programme, in particular through good practice examples and gap analysis in the various research topics.

FEPIC: Female Engineers Pushing Innovation in Companies

Inova is the UK partner in this European Commission project running from 2008-2010 and aiming to explore the needs of female students looking to become leaders in Engineering. The project is also involved in carrying out research with current female leaders/managers in Engineering to gain their input on the development of an online training tool to develop leadership skills for female undergraduates. The project is managed by the University of Bologna, Italy and brings together partners from 6 countries across Europe.visit website

Inova is a partner in this European Innovation project running from 2008-2010 which aims to develop a tool to assist SMEs (small and medium sized enterprises) to develop marketing materials and strategic approaches which will help them to compete more effectively within the single European market. visit website

LLLAB: Lifelong Learning for Active Citizenship and Capacity Building

Inova is a UK partner in this Grundtvig partnership (2009-2011) bringing together organisations active in lifelong learning and adult learning from across Europe to share best practice on engaging with adult learners.

MAKNO: Managing Knowledge in Intercultural Learning Communities

Inova is the UK partner in this Grundtvig partnership network (2008-2010) which brings together experts working in training in intercultural programmes to exchange knowledge and information on training methodologies/approaches between different countries across Europe.

Gender-IT

Inova is the UK partner in this Leonardo Network programme (2008-2010) with partners from 6 countries across Europe involved in research regarding initiatives and best practice in the field of gender and IT projects from across all 30 member states. The network aims to foster gender mainstreaming in vocational and educational training within the ICT sector. Gender-IT aims to also encourage debate and discussion between individuals interested in issues around gender and IT through the development of online polls and forums.

NINA

Womentor- European Federation for Mentoring Young Women

Inova is the UK partner in this Youth in Action project. The project will take place from August 2009 until June 2010 and will focus on producing a set of European guidelines for mentoring, focusing on young women and in the exchange of good practice amongst the European partners. The network aims to develop itself to produce further interventions on a European level aimed at mentoring young women.visit website
