Burnout is a state of emotional, mental, and physical exhaustion caused by excessive and prolonged stress. it occurs when you feel overwhelmed, emotionally drained, and unable to meet constant demands. As the stress continues, you begin to lose the interest or motivation that led you to take on a certain role in the first place.

Burnout reduces productivity and saps your energy, leaving you feeling increasingly helpless, hopeless, cynical, and resentful. Eventually, you may feel like you have nothing more to give.
Burnout is a rapidly growing problem for both employees and employers in all European countries.

According to the European Agency for Safety and Health at Work stress is the second most frequently-reported work-related health problem, affecting 22% of workers from the EU.
Studies suggest that stress is a factor in between 50% and 60% of all lost working days. This represents a huge cost in terms of both human distress and impaired economic performance.

The aim of the project is to prevent burnout at work and raise resilience by developing toolkits for SMEs staff, management staff and SME owners to help them to forecast burnout by develop coaching and counselling methods and tools, recognise the warning signs, take steps to get balance back and change peoples’ approach to a balanced life, to improve working conditions and reduce the cost of burnout and stress.
