EU Return Innovative Career Development Tools for Women Returnees

Throughout Europe, women returners make up a significant proportion of the potential labour pool and yet are often overlooked in labour market statistics, particularly when not registered as unemployed. Statistics show that women are 40 per cent less likely than the average white, able-bodied man to be offered a post , illustrating the difficulties women returners face in potential exclusion from the labour market. The overall aim of the project is to transfer innovative training methodologies to 3 member states in order to improve European vocational educational training (VET) and career guidance for women returning to employment/self-employment following a career break (particularly in ITEC- Information Technology, Electronics and Telecommunications).
